Fresh Greenery Picture Frame Wreath

Make this simple fresh greenery wreath with an empty picture frame.

What you will need:
  • Twine
  • Scissors
  • Extra Tree Clippings
  • Empty Frame
  • Decorations and Ribbon

1. Start with a frame of your choice.

2. Collect fresh greenery clippings.

3. Lay the greenery against the frame in a thick cluster, cover the sides and front so the frame doesn't peek through.

4. Wrap the twine tightly around the greenery and the frame, all the way around.

5. Cut the extra twine ends and trim the branches where needed.

6. Decorate with your desired ribbon and ornaments.

Christmas Home Tour

Welcome to our home!

As you walk in the front door our main tree greets you with accents of gold, brown and burlap. This year I wanted to stick with natural textures, fresh greenery, metallics, and touches of red mixed in.

Moving to the dining room. It's simply decorated with fresh wreaths, magnolias, and antlers. There is nothing like the smell of fresh cut greens.

Moving on to the kitchen nook which is open to the kitchen and living room with a wonderful view to the back patio.

Next is the living room. The mantel is decorated with fresh and faux greenery, grapevine garland, and red berries. Simplistic and natural materials make a big impact for a lot less.

I was excited to add a tree in our master bedroom this year. It's decorated in all red.

This spare bedroom is right off our living room. I added a couple of festive touches in the room. We repurposed two 1800's distressed doors into mirrored closet doors. They have so much character and detailed molding.

This year I added a fresh green arrangement in the half bath for guests.

Moving upstairs to my office. The bookcases, sitting area, and my desk are sprinkled with a few simple Christmas decorations.

I hope you enjoyed your visit to our home. I'm so glad you stopped by!

Merry Christmas.

DIY Christmas Arrangement

Hey there! I hope you are enjoying your week so far. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas around our house and the store and I'm certainly in the spirit! As I prepare for Christmas, I made this simple arrangement and wanted to share with you in case you wish to make one yourself.

Here is what you will need:
  • 6 bags of Cranberries
  • Medium size clear vase
  • Mini Spruce

First find a cylinder vase, center the spruce in the vase, then begin pouring the cranberries all the way around the vase until it's completely filled and hiding the tree container.

After arranging, I centered the vase on a brass tray then I added antlers, rolled sheet music, and a burlap and canvas garland that I put together after seeing one in a local shop. The garland was free since I had all the materials on hand!

This Christmas arrangement is so festive with traditional red and green. I always lean towards more simplistic and natural elements when I decorate for the holidays.

 Thanks for visiting!

Updated Cabinet

We recently scored this beautiful display cabinet along with a matching roll top desk and hutch. This was one of those deals where someone calls the store and wants us to look at some furniture they are willing to sell. A lot of times it's just not what we are looking for or not the right price for us to resale, but we lucked up with two awesome pieces that have wonderful curvy lines and details that we look for in our pieces.

It didn't last long in our store! I think this cabinet is the perfect size for a small space and it has just enough display and closed storage as well.

Here's what the cabinet looked like when we bought it.

We decided the glass on the doors needed to go, which reveals a lovely thick gauge wire cabinet door that I just love!

Here's an after shot of the roll top desk with hutch that we recently finished. It had similar wood to the cabinet in the before photo, just to give you an idea of what it looked like.
