2016 Christmas Home Tour

Welcome friends!

Today I wanted to share with you a part of my heart- the place I get to call home.

As soon as you enter through the front door this is the sight you see. Our front foyer and staircase is welcoming with plenty of greenery and white lights. This year I went with an all gold theme for our main tree. 

Moving to the main living area where we spend the majority of our time as a family. This tree was in our dining room last year and made its way back into the family room with a woodland theme this year.

I love seeing the wonder and excitement in my little girl's eyes. This is her second Christmas and its been so magical this year. My love for the season has grown since we get to experience it all with her! 

Not only is it the season to rejoice & celebrate our Savior's birth, but it's also a time to spend with dear family and friends.

Moving to the dining room. This year I simplified this space with a flocked wreath, a little garland, red pillows, and tiny trees added to our everyday decor. Of course, I had to display my traditional Christmas dishes on the table- love those.

Christmas Home Tour

Welcome to our home. I just love this joyful time of year, but how can it already be the last month of the year! Today I'm sharing our Christmas home tour. Let's start with the front entry gold tree. 

This year we decided to place the living room tree in our dining room since we have a curious little-one trying to undecorate our trees. I incorporated black and white plaid, red, and natural greens in our dining room this year for a fun and festive feel.

Heading upstairs we have a small tree with a few of Eleanor's ornaments mixed with birds and nests for a natural theme along with a little red wagon.

2014 Christmas Home Tour

Welcome to our Christmas Home Tour! This is our second year in our new house for Christmas. We are slowly making our house a home, one decorating project at a time.

As you enter our front doors a two-story foyer greets you, along with a gold tree and garland draped on the staircase. (I wrote individual posts about each space on this tour so click on the links for more images.)

This year I changed the garland on our staircase railing for a more natural draped look. I started out with plain green garland, then added lights and sprigs of faux pine all throughout the garland for a more natural look. For the finishing touches I added real magnolia leaves and a gold bow.

At night the glow from the foyer tree and garland lights are so beautiful looking in from the outside. 

The living room is straight ahead from the foyer. It's a cozy room that we spend a lot of time relaxing as a family. This is the space we gather for TV and movie watching. On cold nights it's nice to light a fire and stay warm while drinking hot cocoa. 

A natural themed tree is decorated with grapevine branches, twigs, pine cones, burlap ribbon, and birds. 

The mantel is adorned with pine garland, magnolia leaves, driftwood, and our burlap stockings. I'm excited to add a third stocking this year for our baby girl that's due in January!

The  kitchen and dining nook area are open to the living room.

On the hood vent you can see a natural boxwood wreath that's used throughout the year with a large metal ornament added.

The kitchen dining area is kept understated with a sheet music table runner, my Christmas china, vintage glassware, and an ironstone dish and boxwood ball as the centerpiece.

The dining room is right off the kitchen. It's sprinkled with bits of green, red, and plaid for Christmas. I've enjoyed adding a little color to our overall neutral house just for the season. 

Here's a closer look at the concrete statue that I recently found at an estate sale. It takes the spotlight on the buffet surrounded by greenery, pine cones, and red berries. 

I love the versatility of our large wooden dough bowl on the dining room table, it's perfect for decorating as each season changes. 

Lastly, lets head to the simply decorated master bedroom with a natural wreath that I made to hang on our antique mirrored doors.
