Fall Mantel

Today I'm back to share more fall decor from around our home. This year I wanted the fall decor in our living room to be neutral and coordinate with the look and feel in the rest of the room.

So I gathered a collection of small white pumpkins found at a local farmers market and mixed them with concrete urns, fall extras, and things I already had on hand.

It was a super simple vignette to put together for an extra added touch of fall in our living room!

Fall Front Porch and Foyer

Today I'm sharing more fall decor from around our home. Moving outside to our front porch where I kept it simple with magnolia leaves and stacked pumpkins from a local farmers market, in our urns that we use year around. This year I decided to add the large script letters to the front doors for a more personal touch.

As you walk in our front door you are greeted with a two-story foyer and staircase. This area is always fun to change up for the holidays. The vintage cane arm chair and antique painted dresser are just some of the many pieces that we have repurposed or reupholstered around our home over the years.  

Last fall I made this fresh magnolia wreath for our foyer and just loved how it turned out!

Fall Dining Room

During the past few weeks I have started adding fall touches around our home. One of my favorite rooms to decorate for the holidays is the dining room. I recently swapped around the buffet lamps and oil paintings and took out the rug for a different look.

I used colorful pumpkins, acorns, and antlers along with neutral white plates and canvas drop cloths for napkins. 

Now this room is ready for fall!

Baby Gender Reveal

Jacob and I are thrilled to share the gender of our first baby! After making plenty of guesses ourselves, we were excited to find out that were expecting a GIRL!

We had the gender reveal party last night at our house. Most everyone that came guessed we were having a boy, so it was a real surprise when the pink balloons were revealed! 

You can bet we were excited with the great news when we found out, not that we had our hearts set on a specific gender, healthy and happy is all that we ask for, but I was convinced we were having a boy. We feel overjoyed about this precious blessing and can not wait for her arrival!

A name has been decided, (we will share it when she is born)...

clothes and necessities are being picked out...

and we've officially started decorating the nursery! More details on a later post.

Furnishing a Spa

Today I wanted to share a project that I recently helped decorate and furnish. Most all of the furniture used in this spa was from our store. The owner wanted a relaxing and fresh feeling. I was able to incorporate painted white and gray antique furniture, mercury glass lamps, linen drapes, and muted art. 

The day the photos were taken was the open house tour. I was unable to get a foyer shot which has a dresser, art, two chairs, a bench, and another tall display cabinet from our store.

 Most all of the pieces are used for displaying and storing all of their products.

Guest Bedroom Update

I recently bought this antique chest at an auction for our guest bedroom upstairs. I thought it was the perfect size for storage and for holding a small TV for future guests.

I moved the chest across from the bed on an empty wall and relocated the distressed trunk for more walking room.

I initially placed a mirror above the chest, but wasn't crazy about it, then I remembered I had some of my great grandmothers antique plates stashed away. They seemed perfect for displaying along with several other pieces of white china I had in my collection.

I love the crazing on the middle plate along with its imperfections and years of stains.

I picked a few of the first blooms from our hydrangea bush we planted last year for a simple arrangement.

Now I'm excited to search for more white plates to add to my collection!
