Monday Inspiration: Gray Cabinets

I've been gathering a lot of inspiration for a new design project that's underway. I did a bit of online searching this weekend and these gray cabinets are what I have in mind for this project. I'm normally drawn to light colored cabinets but I'm really into these darker tones with white walls.

House Remodel: Before and After

Hey there. Today I'd like to share with you a recent project that I was able to be apart of. This beautiful thirty year old house has gone through a major overhaul inside and out. Now it looks practically like a new construction home with all of the updates!

Take a look at all of the before and after photos to see how gorgeous this house remodel turned out.

First up, they painted the brick exterior (which really made the whole house look instantly updated), added wooden shutters, installed taller front doors, started fresh with all of the landscape, added entry lanterns, and slate for the front porch.

Heading inside the front foyer where the staircase was revamped with wooden treads and darker stain. Much better than the carpet.

We kept the living room furniture overall neutral mixed with dark antique furniture they already owned. We added a beautiful muted green Oushak rug, accessories, and art to infuse some color in the space.

They enclosed a doorway in the dining room for more wall space to the connecting office room.

The kitchen is now a breath of fresh air with light cabinets and counter tops. The island now has closed storage on the ends and a new counter top shape that works so much better for the family's main gathering area.

The kitchen bar was updated with decorative sconces and molding. They enclosed the bar opening with additional storage on the opposite side and changed the counter top shape and overhang.

Moving to the master bath, they refaced and painted the vanity and linen cabinet, added new counter tops, updated faucets, hardware, mirrors, lighting, and tub.

Not to mention that all of the interior walls were repainted a neutral beige color and detailed crown molding was added throughout the entire 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath house.

Lastly, the back porch off the kitchen and large dining area showcases a relaxing sitting area that overlooks the colorful flowers and lush back yard. The slate flooring was a great addition.

What a refreshing transformation! I hope you enjoyed it.
